For the 5th time the Brandenburger Innovationspreis Metall was awarded at the Cluster Conference Metal. This year the conference took place in the Paul Wunderlich House in Eberswalde, one of the most traditional industrial locations in Brandenburg. A more suitable venue in the city centre, directly next to the Eberswalde University of Applied Sciences for Sustainable Development, cannot exist. The awarding of the innovation prize started with great expectations. After Sinfosy GmbH had already been successful with the SINTRA and STPS solutions in 2016 and 2017, SILVAlight is now the third success in a row.
SILVAlight supports companies in all production processes and enables easily implementable machine monitoring. Equipping machines with sensors is very expensive and takes a lot of time. In Germany only about 10% of all machines are currently equipped with a sensor. With the SILVAlight solution, Sinfosy has made it its task to network machines and manual workstations easily and cost-effectively. Smartphones are simply used as sensors for this purpose. Smartphone sensors, such as the light sensor, the motion sensor, the magnetic field sensor and not to forget the camera, can be used to quickly and easily record desired data in real time. Further information about SILVAlight can be found here.
At this point we would like to congratulate Havel metal foam GmbH and Tom Logisch, who were also awarded the Brandenburg Metal Innovation Prize for their products. We would like to thank the agency Medienlabor for organizing the Innovation Award for the second time. We would also like to thank Werner Maass, Member of the Management Board of the Centre for Resource Efficiency, for his personal laudation.
