This blog is managed by Dr. Karsten Königstein. After several years as a shop floor consultant and finally as Partner and Managing Director of the management consultancy, Karsten has found and grown two companies in the BPM (Business Process Management) space. After the latest company he worked for has been acquired by Bosch Software Innovations he has held the position of a Vice President for Sales and Business Development for almost four years, responsible for engaging with customers around the hot topics in the Internet of Things with a special focus on Smart Manufacturing (Industry 4.0). Smart Energy, Smart City, Connected Mobility and Smart Home.

This blog focuses on the business model side of Smart Manufacturing, rather on the IT side. The reason is, that companies are still lacking new business- and service models. If there is no valid business model or service you can’t implement any IT solution as you don’t know the requirements for it.

We also welcome external Bloggers and are happy if you drop us a note.
